Listwire AutoResponder: Creating Messages and Broadcasts

As mentioned in the first video on how to setup Listwire, this is an autoresponder that allows you to automatically send out emails, newsletters or broadcasts. You can set them to go out over a period of time or at a specific day and time.

When creating your messages and broadcasts, you need to determine if you will send them out with HTML formatting that can be quite creative or as plain text, or both. While HTML messages and broadcasts can look enticing it is also possible the different services and programs they encounter as they travel from your autoresponder to the subscriber's email program can affect the end result. What the subscriber may receive may not be quite as nice as what you sent. Many people also read their emails on their smartphones or tablets, which can definitely impact the end result.

On the other hand, while plain text messages and broadcast are less affected as they travel across the internet, studies show users are less likely to read through or interact with a plain text message as much as they do with a HTML formatted message. The best solution is to send your message in both formats, which Listwire helps you setup quite easily.

To see more of what an email goes through as it travels across the internet, check out the chart at: http://bit.ly/J0GbER

When using a HTML formatted message, do not use pictures to convey your message. If the picture does not arrive in the subscriber's email, your message will not make much sense.

Another option is to perhaps only place one or two paragraphs of a newsletter into the message you are sending, then provide the subscriber with a link to a website that contains your newsletter, pictures and all for them to finish reading your newsletter. I do advise you to shorten the URL address for the website by using www.bitly.com before you place it in your message. A long URL address can detract from your message's appearance.

As a free autoresponder, Listwire is a great tool and I would definitely recommend it to anyone whether or not they are watching their pennies.
